Give a Tigger a long enough piece of rope...and he'll lasso something. Sat on his mat, this fearless stripy creature is still the most hyperactive in the 100 Acre Wood. Effortlessly effervescent in his ten gallon hat, Tigger will play skittles, Cowboys and Indians...just about anything Christopher Robin says. ©Disney.

Classic Pooh by Royal Doulton

80 Years Old and Still Going Strong...

Celebrating his 80th Birthday in 2006, Winnie the Pooh was born when Christopher Robin, the son of British author A.A. Milne, renamed his own teddy bear "Winnie" after a bear by the same name that lived in the London zoo. Drawing inspiration from his son and his son's stuffed animals -- Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet -- Milne's first Winnie the Pooh story was published in 1926 complete with illustrations by E.H. Shepard.

Today, Winnie the Pooh is a world famous bear, with the stories having been translated into 31 different languages. Royal Doulton honors the original stories and illustrations of Milne and Shepard with a series of "Classic Pooh" figures -- all of which are based on the original illustrations and/or subjects that may occur in the life of Christopher Robin and the 100 Acre Wood.
